Many cricket fans can’t wait till August 27 when the Asia Cup 2022 kicks off to see the Asian champions go head-to-head. One of the most anticipated matches in the tournament will be India vs Pakistan. In the first game of the 2022 Asia Cup, hosts India and Pakistan will face off.

The Asia Cup 2022 will once again put the intense rivalry between India and Pakistan in the spotlight. They don’t play each other in bilateral series, so when they do meet in multi-nation events, it’s always a big deal.

But after a little sabbatical from professional cricket, Virat Kohli will be making his return to the group and will be the centre of attention. The batting wizard is struggling at the moment, so he will be hoping to play his way into the T20 World Cup team with a strong showing at the Asia Cup.

On August 28, at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the bitter rivals will begin their Asia Cup campaign. Due to injury, star bowlers JaspritBumrah of India and Shaheen Shah Afridi of Pakistan will not be able to participate in the event.

On August 28, cricket fans can see India take on arch-rivals Pakistan. During the match, both Asian competitors will attempt to prove themselves superior to one another. Pakistan defeated India by 10 wickets in their most recent meeting in the T20 World Cup 2021.

Group A of the Asia Cup 2022 includes both India and Pakistan. In the future, another qualifying squad will join us. Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh make up Group B. Sri Lanka and Afghanistan will kick off the campaign with a matchup.
