World Students Day 2022

In memory of the late President of India, APJ Abdul Kalam, the United Nations proclaimed October 5 as World Students Day. Remembering Kalam’s impact in the realm of education is the primary motivation for this commemorative day.

Every year on October 15, the anniversary of former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth is commemorated as World Students’ Day. It is commemorated in recognition of Kalam’s altruistic efforts to improve education in India and the rest of the world. The former president was so committed to his job as a teacher that he returned to it the day after he finished his stint as India’s 11th president. Dr. Kalam constantly pushed his students to improve themselves and succeed. F.A.I.L. is for “First Attempt In Learning,” thus even if at first you don’t succeed, you shouldn’t quit up. There is life after death; E.N.D. stands for “Effort Never Dies.” If you get a negative response, just keep in mind that “No” stands for “Next Opportunity,” therefore let’s keep a positive outlook.

World Students Day History

The United Nations has verified that October 15 was not formally proclaimed as World Students’ Day, and the origin of the Indian holiday honouring students is unknown. The primary objective of this commemorative day is to honour Kalam for his work in the field of education. His students significantly improved their lives by being their best selves after hearing his incisive lectures and witnessing his unwavering commitment to teaching.

Abdul Kalam was a firm believer in the power of education to shape a nation’s future and bring it to greater heights of prosperity in all spheres. Because of Abdul Kalam’s devotion to his pupils, World Students Day was established.
