Lord Ganesha is believed to bestow his blessings of joy, insight, and wealth to his followers during this 10-day celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi.

One of the largest celebrations, Ganesh Chaturthi, is celebrated on August 31, 2022. This celebration lasts for ten days, starting on September 2nd, and ending on September 9th, and is celebrated with great enthusiasm and awe.

Many people also want to install an image of Lord Ganesha in their home temple, or “Puja Ghar,” in preparation for his arrival. Everyone pays their respects to Lord Ganesha, the God of New Beginnings. It is believed that Lord Ganesha bestows his blessings of joy, insight, and wealth onto his followers during this 10-day celebration. The celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi honours the birth of the Hindu god Ganesha.

Read on if you’re thinking of hosting a Ganpati Bappa celebration this year.

Worship of Lord Ganesha is permitted on August 31 from 11:05 am until 01:38 pm Ravi’s Yoga, optimal for doing good deeds, occurs today between 5:58 am and 12:12 am.

Ganesh Chaturthi: Do’s and Don’ts of worshipping Ganpati idol.

DO’S

•    Devotees may take a Ganesha idol inside their homes for a period of 1, 3, 7, or 10 days, during which time they will keep the idol on a spotless, beautifully adorned platform.

•    The Hindu god Ganesha deserves our utmost reverence. Lord Ganesha must be appeased before any meal or drink may be taken, and the same goes for prasad.

•    Eco-friendly Ganesha statues should be selected, preferably crafted from biodegradable materials like cow dung, clay, etc., and should be placed in settings that compliment nature.

•    We may do our part for the environment by immersing Ganesha in a pail of water at home rather than in a river or other body of water.

•    Worship of Lord Ganesha is permitted on August 31 from 11:05 am until 01:38 pm Ravi’s Yoga, optimal for doing good deeds, occurs today between 5:58 am and 12:12 am.

•    Before inviting Lord Ganesha inside, make sure you’ve cleaned the house well and given yourself a bath.

•    Prana Pratishtha Mantras, Ghee Diya, and Modak for Lord Ganesha.

•    Before eating, devotees should first offer ‘sattvik’ food to the Ganpati deity.

•    Choose Ganesha idols that are biodegradable and harmonious with their natural surroundings, such as those constructed from cow dung, clay, etc.

DON’TS

•    As prasad or for regular meals, stay away from onion and garlic after Ganpati sthapna.

•    Immerse the idol only after prayers and prasad have been offered to Ganesha at the auspicious moment.

•    During the 10 days of the celebration, don’t consume any meat and don’t drink any alcohol.

•    On August 31st, between 11:05 pm and 01:38 am, we shall perform the’sthapna’ of Ganpati. On Friday, September 9th, in honour of Ganesh Chaturdashi, the idol of Ganpati Bappa will be immersed.

•    When setting up the idol or submerging him, do not lock the front entrance of the home.

•    When doing Puja, one should do it with pure motives. While celebrating the celebration, try to keep things peaceful at home.
