The Five Types Of Suits Every Men Needs To Own

“The suit is the basis of a man’s costume,” wrote Hardy Amies. “As such, it must be respected.”

Only a suit will suffice for specific events, no matter how you want to dress (your wedding day, your ideal job interview, or even your murder trial).

Every guy should possess at least five suits of the most excellent quality he can buy. Thus we have racked the items as desired by most menbeyond their affordability.

1.    Navy single-breast by Richard James, £425

The blue blazer has been compared to the little black dress by some. The blue outfit may be a more accurate description. Nothing is as classic, trustworthy, and, if worn correctly, sure to make you look lovely as a suit for formal events.

Wearing a well-made, two-button blue suit as part of your work uniform may be just as appropriate for formal occasions as it is for more casual ones. When shopping for clothing, look for a piece in a medium-weight fabric so that you may wear it all year round, even if you have to take it to the dry cleaners once a fortnight.

2.    Charcoal single-breast by Thom Browne, £1,880

A grey suit is an excellent choice as a second choice for a man’s first outfit. For the winter months, a light hue may seem a little too summery, but charcoal is the appropriate tint.

When it comes to suiting colours, a grey suit is a wardrobe staple that can be dressed down more quickly than blue, which might seem a little too official for an informal evening out.

3.    Dark double-breast by Kingsman, £1,495

If you’re going to dress properly, you’ll need to have a little bit of swagger, and a DB suit isn’t going to cut it.

An understated but strong statement may be made by wearing a dark grey or midnight blue double-breasted suit, which distinguishes you from Mr. Average Office Worker (unless you add a cravat).

4.    The summer suit by Boglioli, £770

As long as you do not have to wipe perspiration off your forehead when wearing a suit in the heat, you have got a good sense of how to dress.

With a variety of light-weight fabrics and bright colours available, your first summer suit should be fashioned of a half-lining or unlined piece of lightweight wool in a light shade of blue or Bianco. As a result, you will be able to look and feel just as you would in your t-shirt and shorts all year round.

5.    The dinner suit by Polo Ralph Lauren, £795

There is a good possibility that you will only be invited to a black tie event once or twice a year unless you are really affluent or often win accolades. However, if they do, the entire goal is to look and feel your utmost best by partaking in a custom that dates back hundreds of years.

A bad suit that a thousand other guys have worn before will not cut it, and neither will being the man who attempts to get away with wearing a black tie and a dark suit. In order to receive your Best Regional Sales Manager award, you must invest in a basic black dinner suit that is carefully tailored to fit you.
