Under the REC programme, MMEL has proposed establishing a 10 MW solar power facility. With an annual output of over 18,000 MWh (about 10 million units), the solar power facility can provide electricity to more than 70,000 Indian houses. UPPCL (Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited) would purchase the plant’s output to serve local consumers better.
