It’s mid-July which means you’ve probably just achieved the height of your sunkissed summer glow.
The sun is lowering beyond 9 pm, the weather is becoming hotter (too hot) and you’re thinking how to keep your summer romance continuing in the autumn.
The season is flying by but summer isn’t done yet which means you still have time to explore the trendiest summer fashion trends of 2022.
This season’s trends will urge you to go out of your comfort zone and make a statement.
So if you’re thinking between wearing a shade brighter than the sun or adding a body chain to your appearance (my recommendation is to do both), it’s crucial to remember that the ultimate accessory for your wardrobe is a “I’m hot and I know it” attitude.
But you don’t have to simply take my word for it. I chatted with supermodel about her summer fashion suggestions for feeling and looking your best.
Since she has walked in innumerable fashion shows and worn every trend before they’ve reached shops, I totally trust her advice on this summer’s trends.
Just because you’re purchasing big items doesn’t mean they need to break the bank. Retailers like Marshalls, T.J. Maxx, and Asos typically offer a version of every trend for a better version of the price.
The good news is that all of the top summer fashion trends can easily be played up with vivid accessories or toned down by matching them with basics like jeans or a classic jacket. Keep reading to decide which trend you want to plunge into before summer swims away.
1. Hot Pink Everything
The brighter, the better, goes the fashion mantra right now, and hot pink is the brightest of them all.
Last season, when Valentino put it the sole hue on its catwalk, the shade gained appeal and has since been worn by almost every celebrity!
Barbiecore, the retro bimbo fashionista aesthetic, returned just when the pink trend looked to be reaching its zenith.
Pictures of Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling on the set of the next Barbie movie, all up in pink, were published at the same time, maybe by chance.
Summer is the best season to wear bright colors, but I think they’ll be around until the autumn.
2. More Mesh
Mesh is one of my favorite trends since it allows you to keep cool in the summer heat without sacrificing style.
Mesh may be worn for any occasion and adds texture and complexity to any outfit.
When it comes to summer attire, a mesh dress with no slip is the ideal swimsuit coverup, while a mesh tank can be worn with layering jewelry and loose pants for an effortlessly cool daytime style.
Crisp, white mesh dresses are my favorite way to wear this style right now (like the one pictured above).
Complete the appearance by accessorizing with a purse that contrasts with the dress and a pair of vibrant shoes.
3. Woven Handbags
Spending days at the beach with your woven bag?
You can now take your beach bag with you everywhere you go—city, country, pool—and it will still look great.
Loewe, Balenciaga and Prada are among the high-end designers that have designed sturdy, handbag-sized braided basket bags.
You can easily transfer the seaside grandma atmosphere into your regular life thanks to the material and design of these sandals.
Whether you choose for a bright version or a more traditional one in neutral tones, there are plenty of options.
4. Full-On Feathers
Attending a fancy wedding is an obvious choice. That would look fantastic with feathers. Maybe you’re throwing a huge birthday bash?
A feathered short dress is a must-have for every occasion. It’s also possible that you’re already wearing sleeves with feather trim to wow the barista on your regular coffee run simply because you prefer to dress up for the occasion!
It’s safe to say that feathers are the most exciting new summer fashion trend.
5. Slip Dresses
A slip dress is the perfect choice for a date night, regardless of how long you’ve been together or how much time you’ve set aside to swipe left or right.
It’s easy to dress up a slip by adding bold colors or patterns to make it more of an LBD.
A slip dress is not only seductive, but it can also be worn in a variety of ways.
With a jacket or cardigan, you may dress up or down your outfit based on the date night’s plans.
6. The Body Chain
The fashionistas are out in full force! Adding a body chain to your ensemble can amp up your overall style.
With a bikini, a crop top, or loose pants, body chains look wonderful in the summer.
Hailey Bieber’s Instagram page is practically a body chain fan page if you need more inspiration.
I hope the trend would last all year, but it’s difficult to wear a body chain over a heavy wool sweater. ‘ (though I dare you to try it).
This is a must-try look before the cooler months arrive.
